Masha and the Bear

Across the series, Masha and Bear tackle hiccups that spread through the forest, care for a newly‑hatched penguin before sending it to Antarctica, and join Panda in making dumplings, while later sharing rainy‑day reading, fixing a picture frame, painting forest friends, and playing chess with Tiger.

The series — titled Hold Your Breath, The Foundling, Bon Appétit, Hokus‑Pokus, Construction In Progress, Picture Perfect and Time to Ride My Pony — is a programme made up of individual episodes. Each instalment follows the antics of Masha and her friend the Bear as they navigate everyday mishaps and whimsical adventures in the forest. In one episode Masha is plagued by hiccups, prompting the Bear to consult a medical encyclopaedia for a cure; the hiccups eventually affect the other woodland creatures. Another story sees Masha discover an egg that hatches into a penguin, after which the Bear decides the bird will only thrive in the right climate and sends it off to Antarctica. A distant relative of the Bear, a panda, arrives for a visit and the trio attempts to make Chinese dumplings, only for Masha to intervene with her own cooking methods. When a torrential downpour keeps the Bear indoors with a book, he expects Masha to stay home, yet she appears at his door eager to read as well. Later, the Bear’s attempt to hang a new picture frame goes awry, and Masha together with the other animals lend a hand. On a crisp winter day, the pair find inspiration to paint, with Masha borrowing a tiny canvas and creating portraits of the forest inhabitants. Finally, the Bear’s old friend the Tiger drops by, and they spend their time together playing chess. These episodes showcase a range of simple yet charming scenarios – from dealing with a sudden bout of hiccups to organising a chess match – all underscored by the collaborative spirit of Masha, the Bear and their friends. Each story remains grounded in the everyday world of the forest, offering light‑hearted moments that highlight the characters’ resourcefulness and camaraderie.
