About This Program ✦
The series is a collection of short, self‑contained episodes, each given its own title – “Sleeping Beauties”, “Self‑Made Hero”, “See You Later”, “Sabre‑Toothed Bear”, “Rock‑A‑Bye Baby!”, “Recipe for Disaster” and “Quartet Plus”. It is classified simply as a programme of the episode genre. Across the instalments the focus is on Masha and Bear and the antics that ensue in their forest community. When Masha can’t get little Rosy to drift off, Bear suggests using a music box. Determined to act like a superhero, Masha rushes into daring deeds, only to have the other animals snigger at her handmade costume and naïve rescue attempts. In a surprising turn, Masha suddenly behaves with unexpected maturity, leaving the forest dwellers astonished. Bear then has to devise a genuine time‑machine to discover what his ancestor might have looked like. Trying to hibernate like Bear, Masha’s attempt to count sheep is ruined, and the lullaby devolves into a lively party of dancing and singing. After Bear prepares porridge that Masha dislikes, he storms off; she then tries cooking it herself, but the porridge quickly overflows. Finally, Masha explains to visiting Papa Bear how playing in a quartet is tougher than it seems when the musicians lack any slack. These vignettes showcase a blend of humour and gentle mischief, with each episode presenting a distinct slice of forest life – from inventive inventions and failed heroics to culinary mishaps and musical frustrations – all centred on the endearing dynamic between Masha and Bear.
Masha and the Bear broadcasts on Cartoonito at 12:00pm, Monday, 9 February 2026.
