Twelve bakers battle it out to be named Britain's best amateur of 2012

Another chance to see the 2012 contest, as presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins invite 12 enthusiastic bakers to take part in a contest to determine which of them is Britain's best amateur, facing challenges devised by judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. To begin with, they tackle an upside down cake, before following Paul's recipe for rum babas, a hybrid of cake and enriched dough that baffles some of the competitors. Finally, they are challenged to produce a show-stopping cake that reveals a hidden design when sliced into. Who will be first to leave?
