Businessman and owner of the Causton Lions rugby team Mark Adler is mysteriously found dead in the club's cryotherapy chamber, which is normally used by the players for physiotherapy. Barnaby and Winter are called in to investigate and their list of suspects soon includes Adler's wife Samantha, former coach Guy Bevan, troubled star player Danny Wickham and physio Neville Gallagher.
