Quest sits at 12 on Freeview, which puts it unusually high in the list for a non-terrestrial channel — ahead of several of the bigger entertainment brands.

Is Quest free?

Yes. Quest is free-to-air on Freeview and free to view on Sky. There is no subscription and nothing to add to your package.

Quest and Quest Red are different channels

This trips people up. Quest (12) leans towards factual series about machinery, trades and salvage — a typical day carries Outback Truckers, American Pickers, How It's Made and The Repair Shop. Quest Red (38) is a separate channel with a different lineup aimed at a different audience.

They share a brand and an owner but not a schedule, so "what's on Quest" and "what's on Quest Red" are two different questions.

Is there a Quest+1?

Yes — channel 64 on Freeview. It carries the Quest schedule an hour later. Quest Red also has its own timeshift at 62.

Watching Quest on catch-up

Quest is part of the Warner Bros. Discovery family, and its programmes go to discovery+ rather than to a Quest-branded catch-up service. There is no standalone "Quest Player".

That is why searching for Quest catch-up often turns up nothing useful: the channel is free to watch live, but the on-demand library sits inside another service.
